Fifth-grade students at Little Britain have been hard at work this past week.
Students in one class analyzed maps from the prehistoric time period regarding human migration throughout the world. Afterwards, they formed groups to debate if a land bridge or another method was utilized for the migration.
In another class students analyzed and questioned themes and events in the books they are reading. One strategy that was utilized was putting different emojis on post-it notes to help guide their thoughts. Another important element of this lesson was students using context clues, dictionaries and peer help to decipher meanings of vocabulary they were unsure of.
Keep up the great work Wizards!
