For the fourth year in a row, Sydney Dreasky, who has been a United States Secret Service agent for 26 years, came to visit fifth graders at Little Britain Elementary School to teach them all about her job on Monday, January 27, 2025.
During the visit, students learned about how the Secret Service works to protect the president and foreign leaders when they visit the United States. Ms. Dreasky also spoke about the qualifications to become a Secret Service agent and answered any questions students had about the role.
“I really liked how fun it was…” said Beibhinn Lesniak, a fifth grader at Little Britain. “I learned a lot about what they do, how they transport and how they’ve done their job in the past. My favorite part was probably learning about what presidents they have protected and all their training.”
After the conversation, Ms. Dreasley showed the audience how to spot counterfeit money, and even let them practice on bills she brought. Students were also able to fingerprint themselves and try on vests and other equipment members of the Secret Service wear while on the job.
