District officials were notified that two staff members at Little Britain Elementary tested positive for COVID-19. Both staffers are observing quarantine protocols.
Based on our schools' fully-remote schedule Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, and the dates these individuals were last at Little Britain, it is abundantly clear that they had no contact with students during the infectious period.
The district worked with the OCDOH on contact tracing in the school which was only needed in the first case. Individuals who were in “close” or “proximate” contact with the second case have been notified and are observing the required quarantine protocol.
As such, Little Britain will remain open for in-person instruction at this time. We will continue to work closely with our partner health agencies and communicate any necessary updates.
It’s up to every one of us to keep our schools open. Please continue to follow official guidelines regarding masks, social gatherings and social distancing, inside and outside our buildings and facilities.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping everyone safe.
