This week at Little Britain

This week at Little Britain

There was a big change at Little Britain Elementary School this week. First grader, Kaylee Mollenhauer, got to be the principal for the day! She gave a thumbs up to let the students off the bus in the morning, started the morning announcements, greeted every class and helped wish every student a great night at dismissal.

Highschool students visit class as part of iDecide program.

Students from Washingtonville High School mentored fifth-graders as part of the iDecide (Drug Education Curriculum: Intervention, Diversion, and Empowerment) program at Little Britain. High School students train the younger students for four weekly sessions to run a structured, evidence based program to encourage positive decision making.

Second graders read books in classroom.

Second graders at Little Britain were encouraged to go after their wildest dreams. Students read biographies about people with unique jobs that were determined to reach their goals. The stories were inspiring and the students were able to connect their personal experiences with each book.
